Great Green Run: Empowering Communities for a Greener Future
SINGAPORE, 19 September 2023 — TriFactor, the regional multisport organizer, is embarking on a transformative journey of sustainability and community engagement with the inaugural Great Green Run, presented by CIMB Singapore. This event signifies TriFactor's commitment to blending sports and sustainability, setting the stage for an inspiring and purpose-driven future. TriFactor's mission is simple yet profound: to learn, initiate its sustainability sport journey, and do it hand in hand with the community.
The Great Green Run, co-conceived with Greenbees, aspires to transcend being just another sustainability-themed run. Instead, it strives to become a global sustainability movement that seamlessly integrates running with eco-friendly practices, community advocacy, diversity, philanthropy, and inclusivity.
TriFactor firmly believes in leading by experimentation and example, recognizing that we must take risks to learn. Embracing failures as stepping stones is part of the process. TriFactor is dedicated to this mission because it is resolute about securing a sustainable future for our children and youth.
In the spirit of community collaboration, TriFactor has partnered with PlayPan.co, a sustainability community partner. The collaboration extends beyond the run itself. TriFactor even hosted the Race Pack Collection event at the recently repurposed Peace Centre mall, aligning with its sustainable and community engagement agendas.

The event features not only a Corporate and Community Run but also a sustainability-centric fiesta with over 30 food, retail, and activity stalls. Sustainable partners such as Tesla, Plastify, ChopValue, EVCo, Cloop, Wynist, and more join in the cause.
James Yeong, Project Director of Great Green Run, emphasized, “We are dedicated to weaving sustainability into the fabric of our corporate and community landscapes”.
TriFactor's international cooperation and expansion efforts have led to partnerships with the Kingdom of Bhutan and Lahti, Finland. The lucky draw winners of the Great Green Run will embark on a trip to two of the greenest and happiest nations globally, showcasing TriFactor's commitment to global sustainability collaboration.

“Our partnerships with Bhutan and Lahti exemplify our commitment to international cooperation in the name of sustainability.” Participants in the Great Green Run will receive sustainable medals made of discarded wood and wool from Bhutan, digital certificates, sustainable running t-shirts, e-vouchers, and more. TriFactor aims to reduce its carbon footprint and aligns corporate team registration with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, organizers will conduct a Sustainability Report, verified by the Singapore Environment Council, as part of their goal to be a net-zero event.
All participants and guests are encouraged to use public transportation to commute to the event, reducing plastic, paper, and single-use waste materials. The sustainability fiesta, open to the public, will run from 9 am to 6 pm, celebrating a harmonious blend of sports and sustainability.

Great Green Run is a sustainability-driven mass run aimed to serve as a platform to rally and inspire sustainability advocacy and actions to drive positive behavioural change towards sustainability lifestyle. Great Green Run will also be among the first sporting events to publicly share its carbon footprints and sustainability initiatives report.
